L'Espace vin at the heart of Quai Cyrano

The wine area at the heart of the Tourist Office is like a library, only more cheerful: 140 references to ‘study’ the Bergerac terroir… to the health of local culture! (to be discovered without moderation, but to be drunk with moderation, of course).

The wine house in a large wine area

A large space organized to offer visitors, wine lovers and neophytes alike, an easy choice.

Here, 140 references of Bergerac and Duras wines are presented for sale in wooden cases, in the heart of a space open on both sides towards the cloister and the terrace.

Designed and run in partnership with the IVBD, all the winegrowers present are members of the “Route des Vins”, and some of them have been awarded the “Vignobles et Découvertes” label.

Numerous meetings are organized with these professionals, such as “Un jour, un vigneron” in summer: spontaneous, daily encounters with our local winegrowers.

How to find your way around? The wines are classified by color, and the team of wine advisors is always on hand to help, explain and guide visitors as they discover the different appellations and estates.

Each week, the tasting area offers a selection of 9 Bergerac – Duras appellation wines, systematically including: 1 rosé, 2 dry whites, 2 sweet whites and 4 reds. This selection gives pride of place to winemakers committed to an “organic” approach (Agriculture Biologique, HVE, biodynamie…), with a third of the wines coming from this mode of production.

Finally, we have chosen to sell bottles of wine at the estate price. The Maison des Vins is a promotional tool made available to winegrowers.

A place to discover

All year round, the team of wine advisors offers animated tastings, one Thursday a month.

Available by reservation only, these get-togethers are a fun way to discover the wines of Bergerac and Duras.

The terrace "rooftop

One of the finest views of the Dordogne River!

This incredible terrace offers a renewed perspective on the old bridge in particular.

Adjoining the professional kitchen, it’s open from the morning for a warm welcome and coffee, to the evening, to enjoy the sunset over the river.

Le Cloître des Récollets

It was in the 17th century, under the reign of Louis XIII, that the Récollets brothers obtained the site of the former gardens of the Château de Bergerac for the construction of their convent.

Enjoy the very special atmosphere of this place by sampling one of our platters of local produce accompanied by a glass of your choice (wine, grape juice…) thanks to our wine bar.

The Wine Bar & Snacks

Open all year round according to tourist office opening hours, and 7 days a week in summer, the wine area also offers a range of local products: hot and cold drinks, local products to sample in the form of platters…
